Ping An Finance Center (平安国际金融中心)
Ping An Finance Center examines the design and construction of the 660-meter supertall tower in Shenzhen, one of China's leading financial and technology centers. Integrated with the city's transit network, the mixed-use development was designed to serve as a major commercial landmark within the rapidly growing Pearl River Delta metropolitan region.
The book explores the architectural, structural, and engineering solutions that shaped the tower, including its streamlined form, tapered corners, and high-performance façade. It discusses how the building's design responds to the demands of extreme height, wind performance, efficient floor planning, and urban connectivity, while reflecting the identity of its owner and its prominent location.
Part of the CTBUH In Detail series, this full-color volume draws on the expertise of the architects, engineers, and other specialists involved in the project to provide a detailed case study of one of the world's tallest buildings. It is intended for architects, engineers, students, and readers with an interest in contemporary architecture, structural engineering, and tall building design.
